About The Founder:

Phillip Gray

My name is Phillip Gray. I am currently a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

I learn plenty in school about math and science, but life skills are often overlooked. That's why I became a Boy Scout, to learn the leadership and life skills that I didn't yet have. After being involved with scouting since 1st grade, I've now learned these important attributes, earned the Life Rank, and have been inducted into the Order of the Arrow scouting organization. I'm now working on my final project to achieve the final rank of Eagle Scout.

Life at school can be overwhelming at times, and I think it's important to have a variety of activities in life so I became a golfer. Ever since 4th grade I've loved golf. I loved the competition, so I won tournaments, I loved the mechanics, so I joined my school's varsity team, but most of all I loved the community, so I joined the First Tee.

Through the First Tee junior golf organization I have had so many incredible opportunities to compete in tournaments, attend leadership classes, and most recently I was selected to attend the First Tee Innovators Forum in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was there I realized that I want to give back to my community, and inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

That's why I created Elevate. To teach the most important skills a high schooler will need to succeed in any future they choose.
